Insanity

Misery is the sun over the melting tip
Of the iceberg that indeed held all the suffering,
Ample deed it took the heat
To justify the little hillock with the surface beneath,
Waves came and went; to undermine
The effort of time to thaw and sublime.
Yet the ardor of love is deific; mine
Outshines despair, adversity, and even time...

Restored

Live to learn or learn to live,
This conflict forever has been.
So much comes and goes in a fraction of a lifetime,
Inducing wisdom to make the rest of it worthwhile.
Doubt, hatred, mistrust and pain,
A gossamer of emotion against happiness plain.
A lesson in love is to give up the claim.
The freedom it unleashes is but divine,
Breathing on the open road after walking down the broken line.

The lie called life

When its hard to give in to reality,
Thoughts are the haze that blur your sanity.
No justification seems fair enough
To explain fighting for a lost cause.
To love and lose,
To cherish yet bruise.
Time promises to always heal
The wrong, the scars, your every pain.
Yet it seems like the evading horizon,
The union of the impossible,
The sky and the ocean?
So far fetched and so near
So much animosity, yet so dear.
Such a contradiction is life.

Paradox

There's longing before love,
It takes craving to cry,
There's madness before mirth,
Its a riot of emotions;
A rainbow of ample girth.
An ostentatious living curtains the incessant music,
That was indeed, a dirge.

Infinity

When a lifetime is not enough,
And you would want to just go on.
When a rainbow is not enough,
You need the spectrum to expand.
When an octave will not suffice,
You want a symphony to resonate.
Let each experience be like a drop in the ocean.
Its vastness-unfathomed,
Its depth-unknown,
Its clarity-crystalline,
Its extent-Magnificent.

Dilemma

Clarity of thought, right or wrong, love or life?
I stand by love; learn to give in,
But then was that a mistake from the beginning.
No care of the world, no urge to defy
Till there comes a time when its hard to justify.
What do i explain and to whom,
For a wince, a grimace, a frown there is no room.
But the smiles and laughter i fondly remember;
Wasn't that supposed to be, "to treasure forever"?
I cannot overlook the goodness in time.
But there are the holds, the bars, the locks. There are the signs.
The need to explain is compelling,
The explanation itself,
Is elusive.
The dream is over, reality knocks on my door.
Forever ends, says there is no more.
